The artist run gallery AR/GE Kunst is located in one of the busiest shopping streets of the city of Bolzano. Like many of the shops around, the architecture of the artist-run gallery consisted of a fully glazed shop window and a deep interior space placed behind a large vitrine.

The exhibition to be presented in the space was in many ways contradictory to the spatial qualities of the space. It consisted of a single art work that was shown on video projection. The deep interior was far too vast for a single work, and the vitrine became more as a burden as the projection required darkness. The scenography took these demands seriously and in turn used it to its advantage. The entire vitrine was closed off with a curtain. A long partition wall was placed in the interior, creating a long corridor to avoid light leak from the entrance. Yet with small circular holes placed throughout the installation, the scenography became a playful device both towards the street as inside the gallery, transforming the exhibition of the single art work into a multitude of experiences.
